How
many times have you ever got into a fight while playing multiplayer games with
your friends because one of you cheated by looking at the other’s split screen?
I bet almost all of you have. The screen is generally split in multiplayer
games. However, LG is presenting this new feature in all of their 2012 Cinema
3D TVs which will bring peace to you guys. It is called Dual Play. The passive
3D technology makes it possible for each player to watch a separate image in a
full sized screen.
For
the ones who don’t know how passive 3D works, let me explain it to you briefly.
Unlike active 3D TV which sends left and right images one at a time and shutter
glasses receive them by flickering, passive 3D TV sends both images
simultaneously to polarized 3D glasses. The left lens gets the left image and
the right lens does the right one. Our brain combines both images and perceives
it as 3D.
LG’s
Dual Play has different polarized glasses to get only either left or right
image. So both players view separate images by one player only getting left
images and the other player only doing right images. If you have a LG’s LM
model, you can buy Dual Play glasses separately. Two packs cost about $25 at
retailers. Or you can simply make your own if you have enough 3D TV glasses. It
is so easy and quick. Let me show you how.
