PS3 keeping up with the brown game releases!

http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/07/30/resistance-3-fade-to-brown-music-video
With the recent titles coming out it seems like the people who are making games just for the ps3 assume the audience loves brown. While I think people who only own PS3 are well less fun gamers in general who like single player games, they are also super picky for no reason.
With that little aside here are some of the more popular brown titles
1. Infamous 2 (the environment is pretty brown/grey)
2. Rage (post Apocalypse brown)
3. Limbo (just well drab)
4. Dirt 3 (can't really fault this one though)
5. Outland (just the levels)
6. Back to resistance 3 (watch the music video its pretty funny)
Well that's a quick update on that, maybe I will make the opposite post about Nintendo games. The 6 most colorful games of 2011.

Guitar Hero will get better says Activision head

The failures in his point of view began when Activision stopped listening to the audience. The company was selling the franchise games, earning money but they wasn’t innovating and  listening to what gamers wanted.

"We really did not have time to understand the behavior of the audience," he said. "This was one of those things that leave us in peace, one of the ideas of fantasy game itself was the player
to unleash their inner rockstar.

And no matter how, so much that we allowed people to allow their fantasies, it would still be a success. Then we went into an exciting project that had a point of differentiation, this was called DJ Hero.

Dragon Age II

Today bioware had its somewhat lackluster follow up to dragon age origins (10/10) dragon age 2 (7/10) pulled from steam. EA has done a lot of damage to bio ware lately; the pre EA games were all 9/10 or 10/10 but mass effect 2 and dragon age 2 were small let downs hopefully they can keep their money grubbing hands off of mass effect 3 and dragon age 3, and stop trying to add more combat less story and slim everything down. If I wanted to play a shooter(mass effect 2) or a platformer(dragon age 2) I would have bought a different game.
From ign
Dragon Age II was pulled from online games retailer Steam after the game's first downloadable expansion, Legacy, was released this week.

It's believed that due the expansion being purchasable from within the game, and not the Steam client, that lead to Valve dropping the game completely. Dragon Age: Origins is still available, however.

EA would not address the specific reasons for why Dragon Age II was removed, only saying it hopes to reach an agreement with Valve in the future.

"At EA, we offer our games and content to all major download services including GameStop, Amazon, Direct2Drive and Steam," said David DeMartini, SVP of Global E-Commerce for EA in a statement given to IGN.

"Unfortunately, Steam has adopted a set of restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to sell downloadable content. No other download service has adopted this practice. Consequently some of our games have been removed by Steam.

"We hope to work out an agreement to keep our games on Steam."

Last month, EA's Crysis 2 was also pulled from Steam after downloadable content was released for the game. EA denied any involvement with the move, saying it was due to a distribution deal for the DLC that violated Valve's agreement

3D gaming now on Xbox marketplace,

great news for Xbox owners, There are multiple companies that are releasing games in side by side 3D right to your TV!
3D infinity is an arcade style shooter that is trying to make the experience really pop off of your screen.
Not to mention (call of duty, crisis, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dynasty Warriors 7, Madden NFL 11)
All you need is a passive 3D TV and you can play with your friends and have a great TIME. Cinema 3D is better for gaming due to the wider viewing angle, cheaper glasses and higher frame rates.
If you interested in getting a 3D TV I would recommend starting at a really nice LED-LCD like an LG55LW6500.
Enjoy gaming in a new dimension.

The “Anonymous” social network is coming soon

The hacker group became famous after announcing attacks on large companies over the world, showing their flaws and how users are exposed to theft of personal accounts; Including Sony, and Sega.

After the group 'Anonymous' got its account on the new Google social networking site, Google +, shutdown, claiming that their posts violate the conduct of Google's social network, the group decided to create their own social network, so they could not be oppressed by anyone, as they seek freedom in the web.

They explain all the reasons on the groups tumblr http://tumblr.com/xjh3j8ihrs and at the end of this post you can find a link to the social networking group, the Anon +, which is still under construction.

Black ops and 3D GAMING AWSOME!

Xbox/Microsoft have stunned the emerging 3D Gaming industry by forming a partnership with Korean electrical manufacturing giant LG. The main reason for this alliance is the rise of Passive 3D technology. LG are the first manufacturer to embrace the Passive 3D format incorporating it in their latest HD 3D Passive TV, which is the world’s first. Now the stakes have been raised much higher with the news that LG have launched a range of Laptop computers with a Passive 3D screen. This is big news for gamers as the full force of Microsoft 3D Gaming development will be in the Passive format. Not only is this great for 3D Gaming but the Passive 3D format means that gamers will only need Passive 3D Glasses to experience 3D Gaming. This will be a massive challenge for Sony who have opted for the Active format. The Active 3D Glasses are expensive ( over $100 per pair ) , require batteries and have unresolved health issues due to the high speed flickering of images on the eye used to create the 3D effect.

LETS GET INTO THE 3D GAMING REVOLUTION!!

Do you know Rain from Mortal Kombat?

Rain was created only for fun at the beginning when he was first introduced in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. His name is a reference to the Prince’s song Purple Rain but then the character started to gain life and now it can be downloaded as extra content.
Let’s forget about the part of the character’s reference and see the latest Mortal Kombat trailer introducing Rain.

Glasses based on Kinect could help "the Blind See"

There are thousands of people worldwide who gradually lose their vision until they can no longer see anything, but not being totally blind.
These glasses that imitated the Kinect system from Microsoft, will help these people. The glasses have two cameras on each sides that help to detect any object and when they do that rear LEDs of the lens light up, and so the nearly blind people can define objects and even read bus boards without anyone’s help.
The glasses will be on sale in 2014 after undergoing series of tests

3DTV Gaming Fans; Enthralling News

The new gaming applications and internet options given with new 3DTVs are awesome. Lots of new and innovative TVs are entering in the market with new features and strategies that are opening new techniques for watching television. Playing 3D games is not just limited with to consoles and video games. The 3D TVs has given a new dimension to the video games and playing content.
The 2D to 3D conversion feature, which allows you to play any game, programmed in 3D or not, but it can be played in 3D mode. Collective with the 3D glasses, users can experience an unparalleled form of gaming.
In the matter of education also 3DTVs are not far behind. LG also gives you access to thousands of videos, documentaries and fun things to learn for children. It is fun and interesting as it gives your child a break and great learning experience. One of the biggest differences between cinematic 3D and gaming in 3D is the fact that you can focus on any part of the image without inducing a headache. I have heard about the ‘Avatar’ game; the sense of depth to the gaming environment was incredible it can also make you play repeatedly. You could actually focus on the distant waterfalls, animals and plant life without any obnoxious repercussions. It is also recommended that the viewer should remain within the 60 degree viewing area.  Thus, these new televisions are great for 3D games. Additionally, they boast millisecond refresh rates, thus they are also perfect for first person shooters and racing games.
3D TVs have given a new dimension to gaming; a person like me who loves playing video games will love this technology and enjoy the new vision of gaming as well.
Xbox 360 goes with the LG 3D TV for the better gaming pleasure. LG and Microsoft had a tie up to promote the 3D gaming. It will offer its latest LX9500 3D TV together with Xbox 360 games in 3d flavors.

Mass Effect 3

Was delayed until march 12 2012. I was worried about the connect integration before but now I'm pretty happy. It will allow you to use voice commands to send you squad places and the gimmick of wave your arms to get away from the Krogan is not going to happen AWESOME!
I was a huge fan of number 1 10/10 number 2 8/10 but it looks like bioware was able to get EAs grubby little hands out of number 3 and they are going back to more action less characters more story (great!).
Mass effect is arguably the best console rpg ever made.  Here is to looking forward for another 8 months ugh!

Dark Souls!

Dark Souls is the successor of Demon's Soul, which in addition to some graphical improvements, the game also plans to differentiate itself from its predecessor in some ways, like the blue aura players will no longer necessarily be allies.

The message system will also be available on Dark Souls, messages that you can leave on stage for other players to see. A new system of calls and invasions was implemented, ensuring the fun of online players.
Here more images of the new game from “From Software” and wait until October 4 to buy yours. Dark Souls will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Double down on batman!

So the first poster for the new batman movie is out now! While this is not 100% game related it is 100% awesome lets see if they can keep it going! The last movie was a smash hit with the joker and the unfortunate death of Heath Ledger. Summer 2012 is actually a year away which seems extremely far away to start releasing this type of material.

Maybe they are hoping to capitalize on my last post about Batman Arkham City. Either way its a little late from the last movie so hopefully its not a Michel bay style remake with more explosions.

I sure all you people are well aware how big of a success the first game was with over 3.5 million copies sold. Now moving on to ARKHAM CITY.  With screen shots like this and great game play videos with crisp clean textures and great sound whats not to love, this is shaping up to be one of the top Xbox games of 2011 also it's supposed to come out in 3D too! Also these screen shots are actual game play.

OLD Skool

Big moves from 3D TVs

With the 3D war still raging, we are starting to see a clear winner. This month in a bold move LG released and advertisement saying the users preferred their passive technology 4 out of 5 times. They also had the stats to back it up quite surprising. In another hit to active TV and Samsung’s dominance in the market is the recent consumer reports news that also ranked the LG 3D TVs in the top spots in all the sections.

It really seems like LG and Cinema 3D are winning the fight as of now. Even more surprising is that at a cost of only $1,508 the LG TV is ranked much higher than those in the $3,500 + range.
