Game sales increase in the United States

There were tacked in June, $ 2.99 billion of Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony consoles plus games from developers like Electronic Arts and Activision Blizzard.

The result represents an increase of 8% over the same month in 2010 and so was a new record for june.

Sales surpassing the volume recorded in the same period of 2008, about $ 30 million, NPD said. 

The video game market, however, is 5% down, compared to the same period in 2009. Despite the good performance last December, a research group said sales of this year should be between $ 18.8 billion and $ 19.6 billion, representing a stable result over the previous year.
